From a sporting event to a symbol of the unity of the Serbian people. The 19th edition of the International Cycling Race Belgrade-Banja Luka will start on April 22 next year.
The largest sports caravan in this region, the International Cycling Race Belgrade-Banja Luka, started in 2007 and in a short time gained the epithet people’s race – Serbia and Srpska together.
It passes through 21 cities and municipalities of the Republika Srpska and Serbia, and over 300,000 residents accompanied the competitors. This year’s edition of the race was watched live, via their small screens, by about 7 million people.
The International Cycling Race Belgrade-Banja Luka is today the pride of Serbia and Srpska, but it also represents the beauty of the cities and regions through which it passes. All residents and representatives of the cities are proud of this event because it is much more than a sport for our people. That the race has become universal is also evidenced by the fact that this year 40 countries participated in it, or rather 175 competitors from 40 countries from all four continents.
